Abstract: This study discusses a digital platform for "Facile à Lire et à Comprendre" (FALC), aimed at simplifying texts for individuals with intellectual disabilities and non-native speakers. It underscores FALC's international recognition, particularly by the UN, and highlights the necessity of accessible communication as a fundamental human right. The document proposes an AI-based solution for FALC text composition, addressing challenges in interpretation and professional expertise requirements. Research with FALC professionals reveals varied practices and difficulties, like synonym selection and complex concept simplification. The platform is envisaged to standardize FALC rules, enhance collaboration, and foster social inclusion, offering significant technological and social innovations.
